The Austin Air Replacement Filter Pack contains all 4 of the component filters originally included with the HealthMate Standard Air Purifier (HM400 series). Replacement time frames can vary depending on the type of particles the HealthMate Standard is filtering. Typically, we recommend replacing the four component filters every five years. If you prefer to replace the filters more often, pre-filters can be purchased separately.
Please note, the pre-filter has an exterior layer that can be seen through the air purifier’s grille. Therefore, you should choose the replacement filter according to the color of your purifier. When purchasing the Replacement Filter Pack or the pre-filters, select White replacements if your Austin Air purifier is White or Sandstone. Choose Black replacements if your purifier is Black.
Although this Filter Replacement Pack is designed for the HealthMate Standard, it will fit any Standard size Austin Air Purifier (such as the HealthMate Plus or the Allergy Machine). Junior Filter Packs sold separately.
The Austin Air HealthMate Standard features 4 stages of filtration. This Filter Replacement pack contains a separate filter for each of the 4 stages:
- Stage 1: Large Particle Pre-filter removes particles such as dust, hair and pet dander
- Stage 2: Medium Particle Pre-filter removes small to medium size particles such as molds, spores and pollen
- Stage 3: About 15 lbs of Activated Carbon and Zeolite absorbs and removes chemicals, gases and odors
- Stage 4: 60 sq. ft. of True Medical Grade HEPA filtration removes 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns.
